Yes Doctor.....

As per instructions from the Most High Hootie-Hoot (doctor) I have to lose one lb. per week. Well, Mr. Smartie -Pants, I`ve already lost 2 lbs since he saw me on this past Wednesday. I can`t wait to see his face when I go back on the 25th. He thinks I`ll only lose 4 lbs, I`ll bet he`s gonna get a suprise..I don`t know how much but I know how determined I can be when I really want something and I REALLY WANT TO GET OFF THIS MEDICINE, and if losing my excess caboose will do it then I`m game.
I feel better today than any other day since going to the doctoer a few weeks ago. I started taking vitamin B12 and its making me feel like I have more energy. And without dragging the caboose around too , I`ll be on cloud nine.

Just as I Thought

Well, the doctor`s visit was no surprise at all. The first time I ever saw my doctor he told me that he didn`t believe in giving a lot of medicine. EVERY visit in the past month has ended with me getting more medicine. This visit was no exception. He added another bottle of pills to the ever growing row on my medicine cabinet self. For breakfast each morning I just have a handful of pills and a glass of water ...yum-yum. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel..he says that if I can take so weight off I`ll probably go off all of the meds....joy, joy and more joy.
Let me get this right, for coming off all the meds I`ll get to look like a old deflated balloon. Life just gets better and better doesn`t it.
Thank you God for giving me a sense of humor about all things.

Back to The Doctor!

Well, the doctor`s office called and wants me to come in today discuss my blood work done on the last visit. I`m so thrilled about this..as you can imagine. I`m really afraid that I`m going to have to take more medicine. I`m not a pill-popper...by no means. I always forget to take medicine. The only reason I remember now to take the blood pressure meds is that I give my baby , Zoe (toy poodle for those of you who don`t know me) her medicine so I take mine at the same time.
Haven`t heard anything from Barb about her living accommodations yet, but I really hope she`s found something. This is short and sweet today..God bless you all..

Sunday.....Oh no Then Monday!

It`s Sunday, and I`m not ready for it to end. I took that dad-burned blood pressure medicine and it made me sleepy and tired again today. Oh when , oh when is my body going to get use to it..I walk around like a zoombie all day at work. Lord, I hope I haven`t said or done anything crazy in my medicated hase....Maybe this week it will be better.

Well, I went to the doctor to see why my heart felt like an old motor..spuddering and chugging along to the point that it feels like its going to stop.
They took my blood pressure first ( bad...170 over 100) then did an ekg ( good...nothing to be alarmed about) they took two vials of blood ( something for me to be alarmed about) and then a little chat with the doctor. He put me on blood pressure medicine ( that makes me sooooo tired and sleepy ) and he wants me to come back in a month to go over the blood work . He wants to put me on another med. that sometimes damages the liver so he wants to make sure my liver is ok before doing it.It sound like either way I might wind up with a bad liver!
Barb hasn`t had any luck in Florida yet in finding living accomodations. Keep your fingers crossed for her.

I Hate to Go to The Doctor!

Well, today is the day. As some of you know I have been having trouble with my heart ..fluttering and skipping and such. I`m going to the doctor to see what is going on..as if I didn`t know ..I think its my weight. I just can`t seem to do anything about it yet..don`t have the right mind set or something. I try. Really I do. I`ll start a diet and by the end of the day something happens...I get hungry for something that I know that I shouldn`t have and I`ve never been very strict with myself so out the window it goes. Maybe if the doctor tells me that I HAVE to lose weight it will finally sink in that its "your health stupid"
So keep your fingers crossed for me today. I`ll let you know later what her said.

There`s too Many Mondays in a Week!

Monday again! Why oh why does this one come around so often...faster than any other day. Ughhh!
Well, I talked to Barb last night and she still hasn`t found living accommodations yet , in her price range and that will let her have a pet...she misses Aries so much. You don`t realize how much company a pet is till they aren`t there and you find a huge void that they have left. Keep your fingers crossed for her to find something..maybe today..she said she was off today, so maybe todays the day. She loves the ppl. shes living with but you know how we all are , we like our independance.
I`ll maybe find out more today about what the police has to say about the burglery at the old home place. Till then , God bless and keep safe.

Inside The Old House

Well, today mama had (cousin) Micheal take her to the old home place to check inside to see if those thieves had broken in and took everything else..she called me this afternoon and said everything was there. But daddy had someone make a great big iron wood stove before he got so sick that he couldn`t cut wood. Well, he`d had it taken it out and put it down near the barn and had thrown a tarp over it.....they took the stove too..at least the left the tarp. There was an old fridge out on the front porch...they took that too. I`d love to give them a double load of buck-shot right in the butt!!!

Junk to some , Treasures to others

Yesterday at work I got a call from mama. She said that Toby ( cousin) was taking mamas old car that has been sitting in the back yard for a couple of years, was taking it to the old home place. Mama told him to get the old clunker of a stationwagon that has sat in front of the old house for years and take it to the junk yard and have it crushed. When he got there low and behold it was gone ..someone had stolen that old piece of junk!
She called me last night just after dark and said that she`d heard that they had gone into the house (locked) and just cleaned out everything that was there. She was crying because she had a lot of Daddy`s stuff in the house because she didn`t have room for it at the other house. She`s going to get the police to go with her today to the old house to see what was actually taken. Maybe they can get prints or some clue to who did it.
Mama had given me all of daddys old cook books that he`d collected over the years and I just put off going after them and now they are probably gone too. I guess its a lesson in not putting off till tomorrow. But its creepy to know that someone was in there going through our family stuff and toting it off to make a dollar ( probably for drugs).

It`s JUST Thursday y`all !!

Oh, my goodness, I can`t believe this week can go this slowly. Why does it always drag the week following a vacation? You`d think I`d feel refreshed , bright-eyed & bushy-tailed but I just feel TIRED. Is this the way its going to be for the rest of my life..Lord I hope not.
Its suppose to rain today and tomorrow so maybe I`ll feel better..I`m one of those rare people that LOVE rainy days......

Yeah Right!

Well, that idea I had of blogging everyday just went out the window. Since I went back to work I have been so tired, all I want to do when I get home is fall in bed....and sleepppp. So I`m changing the rules here...for me ...I`ll blog when I feel like it...no rush...no demand...no problem.

I have to go back to work??

Its Sunday afternoon and I`m dreading tomorrow already. My vacations over and I`ll have to go back to the grind again. I told hubby today that I knew I was ready to retire because usually about half way thru the week I`m wanting to go back to work...not this time! I don`t like getting older but I do love the fringe benefits that come with getting to a certain age. It`ll be a count down now to retirement..or semi-retirement...maybe I`ll start slowly and just work part time. I think I can handle that for a while.

A Very Busy Day

Well, when I woke up this morning I had only intended to get my hair fixed and thats all but that went out the window as soon as I got back home from the beauty shop. I`d forgotten that I had 6 dzs. ears of corn to put in the freezor and i needed to make a gallon of slaw...so I got busy. My hubbys mom had her birthday party this afternoon and we went to that and pigged out. Hubbies dad is the best cook in the world and this time was no exception. There was cake and ice cream for dessert but who could hold another thing after stuffing ourselves with hamburgers and hot dogs, corn on the cob, french fries, etc.
Now who`s birthday is next?

What a Wonderful Day

This has just got to be one of the most wonderful days. I slept late ( wonderful), then had my first cup of coffee while talking to a friend in Honduras on yahoo ( wonderful), then I went to mamma's and we rode to get some fresh corn that was on sale up on hwy. 73. I have a hankering for a steak , baked potato and corn on the cob. Hubby doesn`t disagree so thats what we`re having. Mama has been canning tomatoes all day. I wish she wouldn`t try to do so much at a time but when she starts a project she just keeps going till its done. A few weeks ago she made blisters on her fingers from trying to get some craft projects done right away and they weren`t due till Christmas but thats mama.
I love her to pieces but she has a mind of her own.
Mary and Kathy came by yesterday evening so Mary could show me her new car. I am so glad she has something else to drive..its a Neissan 4 dr. pretty color a sand ...just about the same color as Judys car. I wish Kat would get her something thats better on gas than her truck..a little car like Marys would be perfect for her. Maybe someday.
Well that all for today, boy this vacation week is just flying by. In no time at all I`ll be back at work UGHHHHH.

Afternoon at The Movies

Debbie and I went to the movies this afternoon. We had a ball, as we usually do because no one but the two of us usually like animated movies. My hubby doesn`t give a flip about them and I don`t thing Debbies hubby cares about going to the movies at all. But I want to recommend this movie to you all, "Cars" was just great...and I always love to hear "Larry The Cable Guy", he`s the voice for "Mater" as in "Tow Mater"..hehehe he`s a tow truck...go see it , you`ll love it.

The Family

Its a rainy day here, so what better way to spend it than to make a blog for us all to get together on.

In the picture to the right only one is missing now. Daddy has passed (Dec. 2001) and with a family as big as ours that is so rare in its self. most families have lost many members of their family, so I thank God for the ones I have left.
